Tutorial Holidays

With professional photographer John Barron ABIPP

  • Have you just got a new digital camera and not fully mastered it yet?
  • Are you interested in photography and enjoy escaping for a while with your camera?
  • Do you love photography but feel you don't get the best out of it?
You are not alone!

Join me in the beauty of the Andalucia region of southern Spain where we can employ the best photographic practice in a relaxed and leisurely way and return home with a wonderful portfolio of images that will give you lasting pleasure and hopefully reignite your creativity.

And you will have had a great holiday.

From the spring of this year I will be offering, in conjunction with the local and very professional walking holiday organisers Walk - Andalucia with David and Gill, photographic tutorials and short break holidays with a photographic theme in the beautiful and traditionally Spanish Andalucia region of Southern Spain. This is a region claiming, with some knowledgable backing, the best weather in Europe.

The courses will be based in the white Moorish village of Torrox Pueblo just 4 km from Torrox Costa which is on the Mediterranean coastline. Malaga is only a short drive away and has regular flights to and from the United Kingdom and Europe.

Accommodation will be provided in some of the beautiful, fully refurbished Spanish houses in Torrox Pueblo, a short walk from the village plaza and all it has to offer.

The slightly variable course schedule could include minor amounts of traveling to such attractions as the Alhambra Fortress - Palace in Grenada and the exciting nearby towns of Nerja, Maro and Frigiliana. The bulk of the time will be spent in the Torrox area but transport will be available should it be required.

The main purpose of the tutorial holiday is to focus on your photography.

Should you require more exact detail, for example a more precise schedule of events or advice on what photographic equipment to bring, please feel free to contact me either through the 'contacts' page on this website or mail me.

A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 participants will be required for the course to run. Non participating partners will not be included in the overall numbers required to run the courses but will of course be included in all other non photographic aspects.

The rough and hilly terrain in the region may make it difficult for those with mobility issues.
